Considering how much I enjoy David Fincher films I’m embarrassed about how long it took me to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It had a lot to do with the fact that I really enjoyed all three of the Swedish films and had been a little mad that everyone involved thought it necessary to remake this story. After watching it I’m more upset that I saw the other film before I saw this one. It’s far better than it’s predecessor. The story is tonally perfect for Finchers common aesthetic. All the performances across the board are far more nuanced. I love this version.
